The Student Guidance Department was established in 2009 after a group worked on its foundations since the Academy&#8217;s inception.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Department Objectives<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As a guide and mentor to students, my role is to assist them in all aspects of their personal, professional, and educational development so that they can become valuable members of society. This involves identifying and addressing any problems they face while studying or working and finding appropriate solutions. Additionally, I will work towards improving communication and cooperation between the student&#8217;s home and school.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Discuss the problems faced by the student during the study and work to find appropriate solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Work on improving the association and cooperation between home and school!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Familiarise the student with the school atmosphere, systems, and laws to help her take advantage of the available programs and guide her to the best ways of studying.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Help the student to select a course of study and the profession that suits her talents and capabilities and the needs of the community.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Discover the students with special talents and skills and guide them to promote these skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Spread parental awareness through all forms of communication.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Discover different humanitarian states and help them to reach humanitarian agreements.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Areas of the Department at school<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Religious and moral guidance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Educational guidance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Psychological guidance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Social counseling<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Preventive counseling<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Career counseling<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Parent Involvement<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Working in partnership<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The quality of learning experiences we provide for the children can be greatly\u00a0affected by the level of interest and involvement of parents. It is a policy of the school\u00a0to encourage contact with parents on matters concerning the progress and welfare of\u00a0their daughters. A strong and transparent one-to-one relationship is developed and\u00a0encouraged. A Variety of avenues is provided for interaction and partnership with\u00a0parents:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Communication and appointments\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One of our aims is to encourage communication with parents and children. Three groups of people are involved with a student\u2019s education: the student, the teachers, and the parents. Communication between all parties is, therefore, vital.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Parents receive their daughter\u2019s timetable and all other regular updates from the school, such as assessment\/exam timetables and notices about activities, through the K12 application. Students&#8217; academic and behavior reports are also available on the K12 application. The application Amer is used for all official academic and administrative suggestions and complaints from parents to the school.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Appointments to see a teacher or other staff member should be made in advance. Please contact the school&#8217;s receptionist with a brief description of the reason for the meeting, the student&#8217;s name, and the phone number and email address of the parent who will attend the meeting. A meeting will then be arranged, and parents will be informed of the date and time. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An Orientation Programme is implemented at the start of the academic year.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Each term, Regular teacher-parent meetings are held. These meetings allow the parents to discuss student progress with teachers and receive recommendations from teachers on how to achieve individual targets.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Parents may also meet teachers during school hours with prior appointments through the Students Affairs office if they wish to discuss areas that need immediate attention.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mothers are welcome to participate in school activities and work alongside\u00a0students and teachers to achieve our goals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We welcome proposals and ideas from parents about enhancing academic\u00a0levels and\/or policy development.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A suggestion box is available for any suggestions or complaints.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The school website is updated with important information in the various areas.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>How parents can help their daughters (Parental support)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Parents can support their daughters by:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Taking an interest in what they are doing in school, For example, asking them about their learning and about what happened in school that day.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Support them in doing their homework, for example, by providing a place and time for them to do it and resources such as books and access to a computer with an Internet connection.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Attending all Parent-Teacher meetings at school<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">They should make sure they eat a good diet (in particular, that they eat a healthy breakfast before coming to school) and get a good night\u2019s sleep.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">By encouraging 100% attendance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Making it clear how important homework is to academic progress and showing how they value it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Supporting the expectations that deadlines will be met and checking that they\u00a0are.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">By attending different activities, events, or sessions that parents are invited to.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trips The school organizes school trips for the different classes on a regular basis, both for educational purposes and as a means for awarding students for different types of achievement. \u00a0The following rules need to be applied: A student must bring both the trip fee and written approval from parents\u00a0before the trip day.
