تُعد أكاديمية الأرقم للبنات مدرسةً دولية تقدم تعليمًا عالميًا متميزًا. وإلى جانب المناهج القوية في اللغة العربية والتربية الإسلامية وتاريخ قطر، تولي الأكاديمية أهمية كبيرة للأصالة والتميز الفردي ومواكبة الحداثة والتوجهات المعاصرة.
تأسست الأكاديمية عام 1996 كمدرسة خاصة تعتمد مناهج وزارة التربية والتعليم آنذاك، مع تدريس اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية. وقد تميزت منذ نشأتها بأساليب تدريس حديثة وأنشطة تطبيقية متنوعة تسهم في تحقيق تعليم ممتع وفعّال للطالبات.
وفي عام 2004، واستجابةً للتطورات والإصلاحات التعليمية، ومواكبةً للنمو المتسارع الذي يشهده قطاع التعليم في دولة قطر، انتقلت الأكاديمية إلى تدريس المناهج الدولية واعتماد المنهج الوطني البريطاني لتدريس مختلف المواد الدراسية، مع المحافظة على مناهج قوية في اللغة العربية والتربية الإسلامية وتاريخ قطر ومهارات الحياة. كما حرصت على تعزيز القيم وتنفيذ الأنشطة اللامنهجية لخدمة الطالبات من مرحلة الروضة وحتى الصف الثاني عشر، تحقيقًا لرؤية الأكاديمية ورسالتها القائمة على بناء جيل أصيل ومتصل بالإنسانية.
حصلت الأكاديمية على اعتماد مؤسسة كامبريدج ومؤسسة إدكسل كمركز معتمد للاختبارات البريطانية، بالإضافة إلى اعتمادها كمركز معتمد لاختبارات IGCSE وAS. كما حصلت المرحلة الابتدائية في السنوات الأخيرة على اعتماد مؤسسة بيرسون العالمية لمناهجها واختباراتها الدولية.
وتُعد المدرسة مركزًا معتمدًا بالكامل لامتحانات كامبريدج الدولية (CIE) وامتحانات إدكسل. كما حصلت المرحلة الابتدائية على اعتماد مركز اختبارات بيرسون إدكسل. وتعمل أكاديمية الأرقم تحت مظلة وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي بدولة قطر، وتلتزم بمعايير الوزارة في مناهج اللغة العربية والتربية الإسلامية والعلوم الإنسانية العربية، ولم تكتفِ بالمعايير المخففة المخصصة لبعض المدارس الدولية، إيمانًا منها بأهمية هذه المواد ودورها المحوري في تعزيز الأصالة والمحافظة على الهوية الوطنية وتحقيق رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030.
وقد تم اختيار أكاديمية الأرقم ضمن عدد محدود من المدارس للانضمام إلى نظام القسائم التعليمية الذي تتبناه الوزارة، مما أتاح لها خدمة عدد أكبر من الطلبة القطريين.
كما تقدمت الأكاديمية عام 2012 للحصول على الاعتماد الوطني القطري للمدارس (QNSA)، وكانت من بين المدارس القليلة التي حصلت على هذا الاعتماد عام 2013 لمدة خمس سنوات.

“For almost 30 years now, Al Arqam Academy has been like a star in the educational field in the State of Qatar, graduating generations who are faithful to their origins, committed to values, dedicated to academic excellence, and connected to humanity. We build a generation of decent human beings with independence and critical thinking, which goes along with contemporary needs and technological developments, as well as the everchanging ideologies, all the while not letting go of national identity and Islamic constants, which will create effective and productive personalities that carry their ethics and values on from generation to the other. These generations will build a cultured society full of awareness, a society in which values draw identities and sustainable development is achieved by graduating influential and creative generations, which is the essence of Al Arqam Academy vision, which goes in line with Qatar Vision 2030.
In order to achieve this sublime vision, Al Arqam Academy has employed modern educational strategies, which focus on practical application, learning through practice, exploring, deducing, and analyzing, as well as a focus on critical thinking skills and creativity.
