Trips
Students from Al Arqam Academy have opportunities to participate in field trips during the school year. All year groups are entitled to take up to two trips per term. These trips not only support curriculum areas but are also entertaining. Pre- and post-field trip activities reflect the learning outcomes and objectives of the trip.
The school trips also include visits to Islamic centers where students are involved in various informative and interactive activities.
Securing the safety of all students is of great importance at all times. It is the responsibility of all staff members attending field trips to ensure all students have entered the bus upon departure from the school and have exited the bus upon arrival back to school.
Students are never allowed to be picked up from field trips by parents or family members unless the school has authorized this to occur.

Parent’s Involvement
The Academy is committed to maintaining open communication with parents and employs various methods to achieve this goal. These methods include:
-
- Communicating with parents using school phone numbers that have six digits (97444506404-97444506403-9744450557, 97444216506-97444506406-97444216546). If the receptionist receives any calls, she follows the necessary procedures. If another responsible person receives a complaint or suggestion, they write it down, deliver it to the relevant person, and follow up on solving the problem. They then communicate with the complainant to ensure that their issue has been resolved.
-
- We provide a special mobile phone number for emergency situations, which is circulated to parents at the beginning of the year. The phone is located at the Academy gate (97433905105) and is staffed by Student Affairs to ensure prompt responses.
-
- We offer a school fax whose number is found on the Academy card (97444505558). It is located in the principal’s office and read by the secretary.
-
- Problems can be received through a complaints and suggestions box or by phone. The complaints and suggestions box is located in the reception and is sorted periodically by the social worker who delivers the problem to the concerned person in the school. If the problem is related to the academic curriculum, the complaint is sent to the coordinators or sometimes to the principal, while if it is related to the administrative side, it is sent to the Head of Admin. If it is about the student, the social worker handles it. The concerned person must ensure that they receive the complaint, solve it, and communicate with the complainant (the parent) to ensure their satisfaction. The same method applies if the complaint is received by phone.
-
- Sending SMS messages to inform parents about school developments.
-
- Receiving letters by hand, which are often given to the security personnel and sent to the administration to be distributed among the concerned people.
-
- Providing an email address for each student in the Academy (students of KG, Primary and Secondary stages) who receives their teacher’s email address to communicate through the internet. They can write notes, homework, and lessons that will be taken, and anything the student or the parent needs to know. (www.alarqamacademy.com)
-
- We are offering a post box in the SEC headquarters, through which messages and letters can be sent directly to the administration (23148-Doha-Qatar).
-
- Conducting Ceremonies, events, religious and national events, camps, and exhibitions. The Academy invites parents to attend concerts where outstanding, talented students or winners of school competitions or Sports Day are honored. The Academy also invites parents to attend and participate in school events such as weekly or monthly activities. Religious and national events are organized to apply the Academy’s vision and mission with regard to community participation and belonging to the homeland. Parents are invited to attend camps that are held by some of the Academy schools. Exhibitions, such as the career exhibition, are prepared with the participation of parents, or parents are invited to attend them, such as the exhibitions held at the end of the term or at the end of certain activities (such as the young preacher).
-
- Providing a website that contains all the information to answer any question or inquiry, the latest news, pictures of events, department news, and the internal and external activities of the academy.
-
- Sending written messages to parents on a regular basis to inform them about any issue or updates from the Academy.

Each mother is given a file including a questionnaire to know the mother’s opinion about the progress of the day, her suggestions, and her notes. In the primary stage, the mother is invited to attend a whole school day or a lesson as she likes. She is given the same file of questionnaire, suggestions, and notes. In the secondary stage, the mother is invited to attend a lesson for the teacher she wants. She is given the same file of questionnaire, suggestions, and notes.
